This is the only picture I was able to take before the overhead street light turned off. To get this angle, I went behind the brick structure like the man behind the diner in Mulholland Drive. I’ve watched the diner scene so many times, and I keep thinking there’s something about it that hasn’t been understood. Not about the diner scene really, but something from the scene that’s in the world. The character Dan talked about the light not being day or night, but sort of half night. Like in this picture 15 where the street light is on with the daylight.
