This story isn’t my interpretation. It’s automatic, like a movie that plays directly into your mind instead of just out front of you. When you’re forced to watch it, is it possible to not notice it? I’m really asking. Or you could come up with your own version, but now you just have two versions of a story you didn’t choose. But I don’t know, maybe you’re being shown particular versions for reasons you don’t understand yet. Anyway, now I can move on.I posted a story about angels visiting Earth. I think it was a metaphor. Still unclear though. In one version, the angels see themselves as personifications of virtue, incapable of “wrongdoing.” Not in a lordly way, but just, that’s how they were intended. There’s a version where this has disastrous consequences while the angels are living on earth as humans. Like if an angel unintentionally harms someone, they flip it around so that it’s actually the other person that did the wrongdoing, because that’s the only reasonable explanation they can think of, since it’s impossible for the angel to do wrong. And now the angel thinks their own made-up version is true, so they think they were harmed by that particular human who was actually harmed by the angel. Earlier today, a side story played in my mind that branched off from the angel story. Some kind of man or character is in my mind and just made his presence known today for some reason. He’s aware of the angel situation. At this point, the story is just like, the angels are trying to help you, but he thinks they’re trying to harm you because basically everyone is misunderstood because everyone thinks they have to hide things from each other. The story doesn’t explain in what way the angels are trying to help or why the man misunderstands them. It’s like a director’s commentary playing over the movie. I’m an observer of the story, but I’m also included in the story. It’s like the story is talking to me about me like I’m not there. The story is now revealing to the man that the angels were actually trying to help me and not harm me. (Apparently he did something and now feels bad, or maybe he just feels bad about how misunderstood they are. It’s unclear at this point.) Meanwhile, I’m going about my day but stop what I’m doing to take note of this. I know it’s important but don’t know why. Later, I consider the man in my mind. It’s like we’re both observers, but he can also observe me observing. I wonder if he observed me observing the story’s revelation, where I was like, “I guess this is the part where he finds out the angels were helping.” If an observer were to swoop in at that moment, unaware of the whole story, they might be like, “oh she’s like one of those angels that flips the story around because she thinks she can’t do wrong.” Like the revelation was meant for me, but I’m an angel that can’t do wrong, so the revelation can’t be for me. So I just shift the blame to the man. This is kind of unrelated, but even if I realized the revelation at the same time as the man, that would still make sense to me because I’m just observing the story in real time as it’s playing out, and that’s the part of the story we’re at right now. So to me, when a revelation happens for another character in the story – – actually, the revelation is usually for me. I can’t think of any other stories right now where the revelation was for someone else. Maybe this is what I was taking note of when I stopped what I was doing earlier to take note. How unusual it is that a dread-inducing revelation is for someone other than me in the story. π²ππ²π²π²π²π² I didn’t know where to put this paragraph without it seeming out of place, so I put some trees there like how people do in their yards instead of a fence. An angel that can’t see themselves as capable of doing or thinking wrong, but has thoughts that feel wrong – – one way they could flip it around would be to view the thoughts as intrusive or a thought recording. It’s not me that thinks the thoughts, I’m just the one who hears them. I wonder if this could cause the idea of intrusive thoughts or thought recordings to be so discredited that people wouldn’t even admit to themselves they have one. They don’t want to be associated with the “angel” idea of not taking responsibility for your thoughts and actions. (The row of trees makes me feel like I should say the “not my interpretation” thing again, like it still applies here even through the trees) Post navigation Iβm laying on my back and looking at my life, and itβs the sky. 23 greeting cards
